As we begin to prepare for the upcoming Salsa Rueda Festival in San Francisco in February, we will be finalizing our performance team members for the upcoming months and for the Festival.
We are looking for committed, Intermediate to Advanced Rueda de Casino dancers with an interest in Performing for the community and your peers. Please be familiar with the Beginning and Intermediate moves from our curriculum.
All interested dancers should contact Nick or Serena by November 15th. After that we will no longer be accepting new dancers until after February of 2010
Come take workshops and party it up for the 2nd annual SF Bay Area Salsa Rueda Festival. 4 nights and 3 days of workshops, Danzon y Son Lounge, cocktail parties, performances, parties, live Cuban bands, and DJs.
Special Danzon y Son Lounge hosted by master instructor Roberto Borrell- mingle, dance, eat, and enjoy traditional Cuban music. Heavy appetizers will be served.
New Beginner’s Track: A whole area devoted to beginners- invite your friends and family for intensive intro to the basics of casino and rueda or brush up your technique and skills with master instructors.

This month we started with a bang: Salsa Rueda Tricks, Dips and Spins.
Everyone had a great time with only a few mishaps and un-intentional drops of our partners.
We covered: coca-cola complicate, el muerte, el piso complicate, 3 way drop, mambo yo-yo, Rivea, rouletta, and yo-yo.
Professionals only, kids, don’t try it at home.
Next Month: Salsa Rueda Advanced Group Moves: proving that the sum can be greater then the individual parts. Note: your presence is required.
